La Voie Mélodieuse Vocal Ensemble
La Voie Mélodieuse was created in January 2012 by a group of experienced Dutch and English singers, looking for the opportunity to sing a variety of challenging choral music. We are now a group of thirteen singers, eight British, two Dutch and three French.
Our first concert was held at the Parc des Parelles in March 2013. We then took part in a choral festival in the church of Vidaillat in June, where our performance was enthusiastically received by a large audience. Following these concerts, we were invited to perform at the annual concert organized in September by Musique en Verdure in the Church of Crozon sur Vauvre. This performance was also warmly received, and we have since had other invitations to perform at various events included a Concert'Off at the Festival of the Voice in Chateauroux, a summer concert in Lourdoueix-Saint-Pierre church and a birthday celebration cum public concert at Saint-Gilles (36). We also provided music for a wedding service at Brive la Gaillard.
Last year La Voie Mélodieuse - Vocal Ensemble became an association with headquarters in Lourdoueix-Saint-Pierre in La Creuse.
Our repertoire is wide, including works from the Renaissance through the Baroque, Classical and Romantic and extending to contemporary and popular pieces. We sing in a variety of languages and are particularly striving to expand our repertoire of French music.
